  19. What is it man!!??

  21.         TRAKSAT is a general purpose satellite tracking program, by that 
  22.         I mean any satellite that has a NORAD, NASA 2-Line element set 
  23.         can be used. The solution to the satellite motion which is used 
  24.         by TRAKSAT is completely analytic and therefore requires no 
  25.         numerical integration. This makes the program fast, even faster 
  26.         when a coprocessor is used, since the solutions can be evaluated 
  27.         at arbitrarily large, or small, time intervals.

  29.         The purpose of this program is to provide the user with a means 
  30.         of propagating NORAD element sets in time to obtain tracking 
  31.         information of the space object.

  34. What is new?
  35.  
  36.         New with this version is two fully rendered 3D earth views with full 
  37.         color Sun/Shadow. These views are breath taking! TRAKSAT is now a
  38.         fully protected mode program with no DOS 640K limits! The program
  39.         uses Extended or Expanded memory and requires only 250K of free
  40.         RAM. This is the FOURTH major re-write of the program and is
  41.         considered the best by all the trial users.

  43.         The program has expaned on-line help along with better and additional
  44.         error checking. Speed and features are what is it all about.

  80.         The NORAD satellite data set included with TRAKSAT contains the 
  81.         elements for over 750 satellites. HOWEVER this data will be 
  82.         several weeks old by the time MOST people obtain this program. 
  83.         The elements included can be used to run the program through its 
  84.         paces but updated elements will be required in order to make 
  85.         accurate predictions. For more information on satellite elements 
  86.         see Chapter 11.

  112.         What do I need to run the program? In order to run the program 
  113.         the user will need the following hardware/software; 
  114.         
  115.                  IBM or 100% compatible AT,PS/2,286,386,486, 2MB 
  116.                  Ram (250K free ram is required), Floppy or Hard 
  117.                  Disk (approximately 1Meg free), Text mode display 
  118.                  (25x80), CGA, EGA, VGA, or SVGA graphics, HIMEM or
  119.                  some other memory manager installed.
  120.  
  121.                  Math coprocessor is NOT required BUT RECOMMENDED, 
  122.                  (IF A COPROCESSOR IS PRESENT IT WILL BE USED *), 
  123.                  PC DOS or MS DOS VERSION 5.0 or above. This version of 
  124.                  TRAKSAT WILL NOT RUN ON XT (8088) COMPUTERS, if you 
  125.                  are still using a XT computer for satellite tracking 
  126.                  you will need to use Version 3.03 or UPDATE the 
  127.                  computer.

  129.         * It should be noted that a coprocessor will be 3 to 4 times 
  130.         faster than the emulator version. If the user plans on using the 
  131.         real-time tracking mode, a coprocessor will "smooth out" the time 
  132.         steps to such a small delta as to appear instantaneously. At any 
  133.         rate the real-time mode runs as fast as the host computer can 
  134.         calculate the data and update the screen.

  140.         This version of TRAKSAT will NOT run on XT (8088) computers, a 
  141.         286 AT class computer is the minimum hardware supported. 
  142.  
  143. ==> INSTALLING TRAKSAT
  144.  
  145.         TRAKSAT is available from many BBS's and shareware firms and 
  146.         normally stored in a compressed format such as ZIP. The user will 
  147.         be required to uncompress the files by whatever means it was 
  148.         compressed with first. To install the program first create a 
  149.         directory on your hard disk. Type "C:" <Enter> then "md\trak403" 
  150.         <Enter> to create a directory named C:\TRAK403. (Do not type the 
  151.         quotes, the <Enter> means press the Enter or Return key.) Then 
  152.         type "cd\trak403" to go to this directory. If your hardware is 
  153.         different substitute the required changes as needed. 
  154.         
  155.         Next copy ALL the files to the just created directory on your 
  156.         hard disk. That is all that is required to run the program. Read 
  157.         Chapter 2 (User Options) for additional details on user set 
  158.         options that you may want. IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU 
  159.         SET THE OUTPUT PATH IN THE TRAKSAT.INI FILE. If you do not set 
  160.         the path the program may over write output files.

  163.         Running The Program         
  164.  
  165.         To start TRAKSAT you type "TRAKSAT", without the quotation marks, 
  166.         at the DOS prompt. Several command-line options are available to 
  167.         modify the start-up of the program. See Chapter 2 for details.

  169.         If all is well the program will startup with a Tabular mode 
  170.         tracking the Mir satellite.
  171.  
  172.                   Pressing F1 will bring up the online help.

  182.         If you do not know if you have expanded/extended memory type 
  183.         "MEM" at the DOS prompt. Below is an example output from MEM that
